Not a bad offer, but at this point I think Blues extend him. And I certainly can't see them retaining, the offer would have to be ridiculous. We have two top prospects probably coming into play next year in Snuggerud and Dvorksy which will make us contenders. Buch will be a part of that team unless someone offers the moon.

laugh You're not getting Buchneich at 50% retained for that offer, And if you had bothered to look. The very last thing the Blues need is LHD. Detroit has interest in blows this away.

I said it STARTS there. Learn to read. Secondly, Othmann is a LW.

Point Im making is its gonna cost atleast two 1st round picks for STL to even entertain an offer on Buch.

My bad i was thinking of someone else. It's a decent start it doesn't get Buch at 50% retained though. And seeing that Detroit has interest in Buch and Yzerman and Armstrong have a good rapport Detroit would offer far better than this.

The Blues desperately need LHD….unfortunately, AGM didn’t offer one…

Oh really, why dont you tell me what a guy who averages nearly a point per game is worth with 50% retention for this and next year?

Is there any way to structure the deal for K'andre Miller or is that a non starter?

If Buch is available at the Trade Deadline, then this trade would work.
I don't see STL trading Buch.

Probably not. By trading Miller for Buch, the Rangers fill one hole and create another. The Rangers would then likely have to try to make a deal for Hanifin (who probably wants to go home to Boston), costing even more assets because thats another contract they would need retention on. While still not addressing the hole at 3C, as well as the lack of depth and grit on defense and in their bottom 6. All of this and only having around 5-6m in cap space to do it.
