Speak for yourself. The Rangers have much to give other than Miller, for a Johnson trade.

All looks nice. That said, the Sharks' proposal needs a tweak, as Garand will be part of the future tandem even with Quick locked up for an additional season. Substitute Garand with Lindbolm or Boyko for the purposes of accuracy.

Deadline Continuation
Honestly, the idea of moving Miller to a forward spot has been kicked around; the idea puts onus on a Lindgren re-signing. Other trades are making the Rangers take a wait-and-see approach.
Hanafin has been tied to the Rangers for months, for both short and long-term possibilities. A deal retaining salary and sending a player in return, doesn't look as necessary, if placing Miller up front takes place.
But, hey, enjoy the fantasy.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>Doesn't work cap wise..
We'd basically be offering Mika (who alone accounts for like 3 1sts), Othmann and a 2nd.
But then Mika rejects it.</div></div>
Thus, I'll stick with mine, since it was based on the Eichel deal. If it was more expansive, treating Petey more like Matthews (as he should be), I might go bigger.

SUBMIT YOUR PETEY TRADE
NYR: 2025 and 2026 1st round picks, Chytil, Goodrow, Sykora (solid forward prospect), Lindbolm (goalie prospect).
Chytil's LTIR provides cover for further deadline maneuvers, while a more experienced Goodrow gives playoff punch to your high-skilled team. Though DiPietro looks like a future #1, widening the pool of inhouse goaltending with Lindbolm makes for great competition at the AHL level. Sykora is untested, but when risen to second line duties in the AHL, was on a hot point streak on two occasions.
Petey has wanted the Broadway stage and this feels like the iron-hot moment all sides can meet in the middle.

Since we know this will not happen, due to an ownership statement of an unwillingness to trade their first round pick, you need to reconfigure this deal. As well, Eberle, in no fashion is of interest to the Rangers.
So, nice try. Please give it another go.

Goodrow Wavers Question
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Letsgorangers55</b></div><div>If someone claimed him... yes</div></div>
Then it's a good thing they chose to waive Pitlick. Anyway, it doesn't solve anything with Goodrow. Putting a dead $1.525M on your payroll for the better part of 6-8 seasons, puts the Rangers back in exactly the same boat they were in with Girardi..no thanks.
You're gonna gamble at times..big whoop. A fourth line center with a 50.5% faceoff percentage, a PK specialist and physical player.. Drury decided to pay for intangibles, similar to what Bonino was getting previously elsewhere; Dowd..
The era has gone by to reward players who you didn't want top players to assume those roles. In a world gone by, the Rangers will be one of the last to remove such a person of their payroll. 💩 Happens.

It amazes me how on this site the only people who make these deals come from a specific place. I've been a fan of my team for 42 years and have not had as much triggering to rush to create and recreate these ACGMs.

Schneider is a RD, no guarantee he will be as effective on the left side, unless they plan to play trouba on the left side and have a trouba/Schneider line. they can wait 1-2 years dump trouba and have schneider in the top 4 then like Tampa did with Sergy.</div></div>
Like I'd give a damn about empty opinions. If you really need something to talk about, try the overstated Kakko proposals, which are no closer to happening than the empty scapegoating writers are wasting our time on.

But he will eventually replace Lindgren in the top 6. It has become laughable how seemingly hopeful ACGMs are at including Schneider in every deal.
The Rangers do not have designs on moving him. Miller and Schneider still have higher levels to ascend to. Patience isn't all associated with them, but youth and chemistry remains on their side.
It may not be what you want to hear, but it remains the course.

That Tarasenko deal may end up DOA; Kubalik might be a grab by Nashville as a depth move, that might not need Trenin to be a return.
As for the Chychrun deal, that might be the one deal Ottawa makes without reservation. Is there complete "value" with Kaliyev? Hard to say. But does that mean this deal is wrong? No.

Lets Talk About Sharky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>soooonk</b></div><div>You're not wrong. Keeping him could be the best option.
Like dgibb10 said, the problem is the Flames signed him to a 2 year deal. So it comes down to a value proposition. Do you trade him at deadline or offseason to get value out of him? Do you hold and see if he continues the success and then pay him a ton of money and over a longer term? or if you hold him and he has a down season next year, you let him walk, but in the mean time, you didn't get anything for him and had him take a roster spot from a younger player who might have been able to show something.
Who knows</div></div>
I'm not a fan (just a disclaimer); I do see Calgary setting up the following two lines:
Huberdeau (if not traded)-Kadri-Coleman, which seems to work with Weegar and Andersson as top d pair.
Kuzmenko-Zary-Sharangovich, with Hanafin (if not traded)/Kylington/insert defenseman here with the new youth additions.
Seems to me like the Flames may begin to position themselves as a major player in the near future, given a new arena, cap diversions via trades and contract endings and a coach (Huska) who will grow youth correctly.

The New Vision
Any Washington player has great animosity to Lavi, particularly these two. Mantha can't stand him, as he often either scratched him or ripped him via the media. Dowd often stuck up for his teammates; so, there's no love there.
Even the last Ranger win against them, Lavi wouldn't mention their names and couldn't be promoted to.

Lets Talk About Sharky
I think you might have this wrong, as it seems like Sharangovich might be the player to build this around.
A young second liner with a fluid shot, who came from a skilled team is a solid asset. If they waited long enough on Zary, he's likely their top-line center. These players (Zary and Sharangovich) make a solid center duo, anchored by Backlund and Schwindt on the third and fourth lines.
To me (opinion), this says Calgary sees Kadri, Coleman, Markstrom and their potential UFAs on defense as their trade chips for a retool/rebuild with a fast transitioning. Adding a playmaker like Kuzmenko to Sharangovich might smooth things in the long-term.

The Miller situation
Situation? This feels more like a "project".
I wouldn't have an issue moving Miller up front; in fact, I've suggested it multiple times, including moving Cuylle on to the right side.
I wouldn't do so, unless two things precede this move:
1. Another quality defenseman was acquired to replace Miller.
2. Schneider is elevated.
Gustafsson and Jones are not number five or six D answers; sevenths, at best.
I'd strongly consider adding a new third pair.
