Oilers say no. No need to trade Campbell. Oilers have enough cap space to make all the moves they need this year. Can buy Campbell out in offseason.

Does that squeeze them in 25-25 though even they need to give Draisatl and Bouchard raises?

I would rather send away 1st with him than buy him out. Late 1st round is the most overrated thing in NHL. And you need space for resigning Draisaitl and Bouchard after next season.

Barely. Keep in mind Campbell was signed for 5M for 5 years. So Drai and Bouch extensions were considered with a 5M starter on the roster. Buying out Campbell is less than 5M in Cap, so their chances of resigning Drai and Bouch have improved.
