You shouldn't buy into the hype. Silayev is fine, but if he wasn't so massive, he would be ranked in the late 1st round or later. CHI should not waste their top pick in this draft on D, let alone yet another left shot one. Would be a waste of a pick. CHI should easily be in the top 5 and, if they are gonna look at any D, it should be Levshunov, but they should really be looking at forwards. More specifically, Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom, or Catton. The need for top 6 talent is so much bigger than anything else.

I love the Luke Misa pick in the TBL 1st range, he could possibly even slide to the 2nd round, though. I'm probably not looking at Michael Misa in next years draft, though, he is gonna go early, and I think there will be better or more interesting players with CHI's 2025 pick. Nemec, much like Jiricek this year, is just another name association ranking. They are fine, but if they didn't have those last names, they probably wouldn't be looked at in the same light.

Draft a defenseman in defense stacked draft to hit home on a Norris level player first because they take longer than trying to get Cole Eiserman to get a 70 goal season. Plus Connor Bedard knows the rebuild is at least two season left with the Foligno Mrazek etc signings. And his injury wrecking his rookie season means keep the tank going.

True. We also had Toews bros, Sikura bros, and Broadhurst bros, at one point, too.
