Honestly you can call me a homer but I'd have Thomas over Tavares based off this season, also considering this is year probably is the start of Tavares's regression.

Yeah Thomas can slot in anywhere in the lineup but I figure they would like Tavares on the fourth line centre role as a more experienced player who's been there before and can win faceoffs and can be trusted on defence. Not to say Thomas isn't all those things but going off of previous teams that's what I predict they would do.

Tavares is not making team Canada .. and unfortunately Thomas and Makar in not eligible to play due to being on the 2018 WJ Canada team.
