Doubt Dubas would have any interest in that package relative to other offers.

Definitely doesn't get Andersson let alone retained Tanev aswell. Think Quality over Quantity.

I mean Andersson would have to be available to begin with which I doubt he will be but, Perfetti and Salomonsson is basically the most quality jets could offer for young players/prospects, I could see them wanting a 1st instead of 2nd but not sure how much more they could get

The pick being 2 years out isn't ideal, and they'd probably want a 1st rounder for him but I don't think it's a bad offer, although maybe someone offers a 1st and B+ prospect that hed prefer

Guessing Lambert and the 2025 1st would be the starting point as the rumor from Friedman is Dubas wants a Giroux package which was a late 1st, good prospect, and additional mid rounder. Might want more based on what other offers he can get. Guentzel only has a 12 team block list and WPG might actually be on it too.

Problem is Giroux signed and the word seems to be that Guentzel would want to resign after the playoffs in pitty, a team would likely want to talk to him and at least get a good sense he'd be willing to resign to get a big package like that, but the prices have been high so maybe they could get that for a rental alone

Giroux was a complete rental with a full NMC that would only waive for Florida. He is a center or winger which boosts his value relative to Guentzel being a winger only, but his cap hit % was larger, he was older, and his full NMC makes it a very fair comparison in value expectation. Giroux played a few months with Florida and then went to UFA and signed in Ottawa. Tippett was a B+/A- prospect that had outgrown the AHL, but was not excelling in the NHL. Obviously it turned into a very beneficial trade for Philly.

Then they don't get Andersson, needs to be top prospects, think Mcgroaty, Lucius, Lambert.
Perfetti is a good start, needs 2 other good peices yet minimum, more if your expecting Tanev aswell.

Other teams will beat it easily

Okay yeah that's my bad forgot that's how that trade panned out, but idk I disagree with Tippet being viewed as such a a high prospect at the time of the trade, he was great in juniors but wasn't looking like he was transitioning well at the time of the trade
