Agreed. McLeod is producing more than Bertuzzi at 5v5, plus he's younger, a center and millions cheaper.

Liljegren can't replace Ceci in his hard mintues role, his stats are slightly better than Ceci's but he gets a big o-zone push, more OTF starts and lower comp. Surprisingly, despite the o-zone push his scoring rate at 5v5 is no better than Ceci's.

Janmark and Kampf are basically a wash. Janmark is better on the PK, Kampf is a center. Neither score much... but Kampf is 2.4x the cost, making that trade an easy loss for Edmonton.

So this trade has Edmonton getting worse, taking on marginally more cap and kicking in a 2nd for their trouble.

Yeh I think you nailed this assessment. Wouldn’t touch that deal.
