That was the price for Bertuzzi last year. Probably gets you Eberle but not both

Theres a real good chance Eberle ends up back in EDM. Its a move that makes too much sense.

Senko makes sense for obvious reasons. Duclair Im not a fan of. Nyquist could be an option. Doubt they go after Buch, too much cap, too much cost. People here been clamoring for Mangiapane lately, Im undecided about that. Sprong could become available if the Wings decide theyre out of it, but hes not really a 1RW.

Yea but I read somewhere they can’t have Tarasenko back if he is retained since it’s against CBA rules, so that causes problems

Not many options really to choose from

He is on a new contract, I don’t think that rule would apply.

If Rangers had traded him to Ottawa, then he was sent back six months later with retention, it probably doesn’t get through. By his deal expired and he signed there.

Regardless it has been a year anyway. If they let Petry deal go through, they’ll let Tarasenko (on new contract) go through.

The rule of thumb is 1 year to the day. He was traded to the Rangers on Feb 9th 2023, so he is eligible to come back to the Rangers.

I thought it had to do with it not being a whole calendar year like the Deangelo situation

That’s following a buyout.

I think you’d be clear with Tarasenko.

Petry was dealt back to Montreal roughly a year later with retenton and he was on same contract.
