The main part of the deal is Karlsson (no retention) + Yaeger for Chychrun and Jarventie.

Yaeger is a significantly better prospect than Jarventie but that's what Pittsburgh has to pay to get Chychrun who's a decade younger than Karlsson and nearly as effective.

Tarasenko has roughly the value of a 1st so he's sent to Pittsburgh as payment for them retaining the Karlsson money.

Karlsson is only slightly better than Chychrun today. Chychrun is 10 years younger, of course Pittsburgh pays to get the much younger player.

remember ziby for brassard? remember gus for talbot? sens do this is why they not going to trade a chych for a EK. Ek makes as much sense for OTT a building a boat out of mosquito screen.
