The thing is... We have Othmann, Berard, Skyora and now Perreault. Where are we gonna play them all? Perreault will obviously be the #1 RW when the time comes. We've got no space on the wings. Were gonna need to use them to make a trade if it preserves our 1st round picks.

Berard looks way better than Sykora. They’re both the same type of player but Berard has more offensive skill. It’s a no brainer to trade Sykora

Theyre not the same type of player. Berard is more of the offensive guy, Sykora is more of the small pesky physical player.

Sykora has played 44 games playing physical, tough, under your skin hockey... and has 0... ZERO penalty minutes.

Ok, so you keep Berard... where do you play him? If we keep Sykora, where do we play him?

Edstrom and Rempe have definitely secured a place on the 4th line. Cuylle, Kreider, Panarin... Othmann, LAF, Kakko, Vesey, and then eventually Perreault... Where are we playing them?

Dude Berard is the same exact player lol he’s just more offensively skilled than Sykora. They’re both small, energetic, hard forecheckers, and get under your skin. Berard is just mroe NHL ready

Berard should be on the 3rd or 4th line next year. Sykora still needs another year or 2 in the AHL

Rempe isn’t good lol Edstrom is a fine 4th liner. Next year it should be Edstrom-brodzinski-Berard or something similar. Not all these guys will have an NHL career

They’ll likely be pressed against the cap so Berard or vesey at 3RW is fine. You act like it’s a problem to have many options for the bottom 6 with majority of them waivers exempt

But sure, let’s trade away a prospect who’s having a great AHL year and looks legit because Sykora didn’t take any penalties lmao

What’s that? Giving the devils 5 minutes of powerplay time? Lol you still need to score goals to win and I’d rather vesey on the 4th line over Rempe

Oh yea? So youre gonna call up and play Berard ahead of Othmann in the lineup?

You cant keep every single decent prospect you ever draft. At some point you need to consolidate your assets and get a player who will help this team take the next step. We've got a whole lot of "good" players, what we dont have enough of are game changers and game breakers.

Correct me if Im wrong, but did we not win that game 5-1?

Yea, I want Vesey on the 4th line too because he doesnt belong on the line with Mika and Kreids.

That’s why I said trade Sykora lmao can you read?

Othmann needs another year in the AHL to work on his 5v5 and defensive game or a better off-season like cuylle

Yea thank god for Igor and good special teams, none of which Rempe contributes to. how about today? When playoff games are close like this game and Lavi isn’t playing Rempe….he only had 5 minutes today and the whole team looked dead tired

Lavi obviously doesn’t trust him or Edstrom completely, so the other towards will be runned into the ground

Point Im making is I dont care. Berard is not a rate limiting step in a trade if its something we want and need.

If Preds say they want Berard, not Sykora, in a trade for Novak are you turning them away? Heck no.

Lavi doesnt play most guys when the games are this close and this tight, however Edstrom and Rempe did have a shift or 2 in the 3rd period. However Rangers spent a decent amount of time on the PP and PK this game, so obviously Rempe and Edstrom wont be out there.

But guess what, everyones favorite player Goodrow is ALWAYS out there for those final 2-3 minutes.

Ran into the ground….big whoop

But we did win... Not every game is going to be pretty... Rempe made this into a great and entertaining game... What is not to love? Edström has proven he is a very capable bottom 6 guy...

Well it’s mind blowing that all these guys can get a call up, but Berard with 20 points in his last 22 games and plays all situation minutes, cannot get a call up. If they trade Berard, they’ll probably regret it

5 minutes today is pretty damn bad lol especially when the 1st powerplay unit looked gassed. Pretty much all the top players not named Laffy all looked like they needed a breather. Panarin double shifted multiple times with Rempe in the box

Like I said, Lavi is gonna make all the top players on the rangers extremely tired if you’re only playing Rempe and Edstrom 5 minutes lol

They said the rangers are looking to add 2-3 forwards. So that definitely bumps 1 or both of them out of the lineup

Again, youre asking for a callup to a position that doesnt exist.

The team was gassed because of the way the Flyers kept the pressure on them all game. 18 shots in the first period, thats Rempe's fault? The Rangers did it to themselves by having a ton of turnovers and allowing a dozen odd man rushes, particularly on the power play. All things that Rempe has absolutely nothing to do with. Rempe was in the box for 5 minutes at the very beginning of the game, thats it.

What do you mean a position that doesn’t exist? Lol Berard could easily play where vesey, Rempe or Edstrom are right now

Dude he played 5 minutes total in a 60 minute game lmao that’s 4 less minutes than brodzinski, cuylle and goodrow. Like I said, they cannot go into playoffs with two guys on the 4th line that Lavi doesn’t trust. If he’s not playing them in a regular season game, than he’s definitely not gonna play them in the playoffs

Why would he inherently trust Berard?? Rempe and Edström are over him due to their size...

Because right now he can play lmao. He’s got speed, he’s a PKer, he actually scores and contributes at 5v5. He should of been the 1st call up after brodzinski

Sure the hits and fights are awesome, but they need some real gamers on the 4th line for the playoffs. I think Edstrom and Rempe would get exposed or they won’t see the ice lol

Do you think, if he calls up Berard that hes getting more than 5 minutes? No. None of these new kids who are just barely wet behind the years are going to play important minutes. Theyre gonna go out there, be stop gaps to give other guys a rest and try to leave a mark. Thats it. Unfortunately there were a bunch of penalties called this game, as well as it being insanely tight, so the amount of minutes they could play was limited.
