I would guess ~2nd/3rd + C/B prospect with 50% retained for 2.5 years

Without retention he gets a 3rd at most

you're gonna need to make it something nice to get MacLellan to eat 1.5 mil for 2.5 years

no retention, probably just a 3rd, maybe an extra late rounder thrown in.

don't think there's anything that would convince them to retain for that long that wouldn't be immediately a no-go for TOR. Would probably have to be the level of the 24 1st. Not saying it's objectively what a 1.5m TVR is "worth" but Caps have been very hesitant to have dead money across multiple years through either retention or buyouts - don't think that feeling from ownership/management is going to change.

What if it was minor like barely 750k

I was thinking a TVR 25% retained & Mantha 50% for Robertson,Timmins & the 2024 1st with like a 4th coming back to Toronto

I would certainly do it, and I feel like that deal would be much more likely.

Once again though with Caps' track record of retaining more than a year I won't believe it until I see it.

I mean it’s either TVR with retention & Mantha 50% or they get Mantha 75% & TVR at full, either way it fits what we need lol

Yea I think the caps would 100% take less to do it the second way. Makes sense on TOR's end though
