I would rather keep Raty over Podz. If Pittsburgh insisted on Raty then sure but if it's the Canucks choice I move podz.

I would love a Mikheyev for Smith swap but I'm not convinced Pittsburgh would be interested in that.

Smith hasn't really fit in Pitt and maybe bringing in a Russian might make Malkin happy and play even better.Also by adding Woo we get a young RD which we have none

Ya it's definitely possible. Dubas obviously knows mikheyev well.

There have been reports that smith is actually generating quite a bit of interest though so I wonder if they prefer moving him out without bringing salary back or bringing a shorter term salary back.
