Ik I get it, same for us and Boeser, Demko, Hoglander

How's Mercer been recently? Seem to remember he was underperforming a bit at the start of the season

Slow start, keeps getting moved around the lineup. Last year he was able to stick alongside Nico Hischier and Tatar. Plays a lot of minutes, useful everywhere. Lately playing with Jack Hughes which I like as a fit.

Nice, As much as I hate Jack and Luke being out there, I like the NJ lineup a lot. So much more potential than what you're producing this year. Hopefully goaltending can be sorted out soon

Early in the year: Goalies, Coaching, Brendan Smith
Then: Injuries, Coaching (less so goaltending but still not good)
More Recently: Coaching, Defensive play, loss of McLeod
In the last 2-3 games: Goaltending, Coaching, defensive play, loss of McLeod

Well the fixes don't seem outrageously difficult. Plenty of good coaches available in the AHL. Markstrom, Saaros, and Jarry should be available in the offseason, Defense is always a work in progress for any team, Nemec should be a big help tho

The annoying part is we had an excellent coach lined up to be the successor already in Andrew Br. unettte. Instead we extended Ruff.

Internal development will be huge for our D with Luke and Nemec. Hamilton getting healthy and Marino and Siegenthaler getting back to the level they were at last year will be crucial. I'd like 1 puck moving, PK, defensive dman to pair with Marino tho. (Marcus Pettersson).

On forward the lines need to be figured out. Palat Bratt Nico works but then after that Holtz, Mercer, Toffoli, and Meier all work best on the right side. Ideally it can be figured out internally tho.

Goalie should be a simple fix via trade or UFA. I wouldn't pay through the moon for this tho with how volatile it is.

The toughest hole to fill is McLeod. 2 way quality Centers just aren't available easily, especially young ones with that level of skating ability. I'd give up a haul to find a quality replacement here.

Also would like to bring in a guy like Yakov Trenin for some size, PK ability, physicality and defense to the 4th line

Toffoli is fading. Started hot, but fading.
