1.
PIT
  1. 2024 3rd round pick (VGK)
VGK
  1. Smith, Reilly
Additional Details:
Smith hasn't fit well in the Mike Sullivan system and a reunion with Vegas just makes to much sense with their newfound cap space
2.
PIT
  1. 2025 3rd round pick (COL)
  2. 2026 5th round pick (COL)
COL
  1. Nedeljkovic, Alex
Additional Details:
Arguably the best 1B goaltender on the market. Colorado could really use a backup to Georgieve
3.
PIT
  1. Podkolzin, Vasily
  2. Räty, Aatu
  3. 2024 4th round pick (VAN)
  4. 2025 2nd round pick (VAN)
Additional Details:
Now the rumored price for Guentzel is a Claude Giroux package which was a 1st, Owen Tippett and a 3rd or 2 1st which Vancouver can easily match in a few different ways. Pens are also reported to want prospects which i did my best to match here.

Aatu Raty is a NHL ready prospect who could come in right away and center the 3rd line. He's currently having a very solid season in the AHL. Only downfall to his game is his skating which isn't great but he still has a great 2-way game and a good shot. He projects to be a Philip Danault type middle 6 center

Vasili Podkolzin is a young powerful TWF who has a bit of grit to his game. He has yet to reach his full offensive potential in the NHL however, he has demonstrated a strong forechecking game with good speed and size. He still projects to be a top 6 forward who plays a solid two-way game

The 2nd round pick is conditional, the pick will upgrade to a 2025 1st if Vancouver makes the WCF and Guentzel plays 50% of the playoff games.
VAN
  1. Guentzel, Jake ($3,000,000 retained)
  2. Poulin, Samuel
Additional Details:
Potential landing spots to me are Vegas, EDM and Vancouver

Jake, although a great player, it's time to move one from him as this team needs 2-3 players for 9-10 mil rather than 1 for 10 mil. Sid if he keeps going can easily play with Rakell and X piece and this team desperately needs to get younger and faster. As much as I love Jake, the time has come to move on and slightly re-tool the forward group.

I chose Vancouver here for one simple reason. If Dubas really wants NHL ready prospects over picks, Vancouver has the best mix imo and they probably won’t need to trade the likes of Wallinder or Lekkerimaki for what would be most likely a rental.

Sam Poulin clearly isn't in favor in Pittsburgh with them refusing to call him up with the rotating door of bottom 6 forwards coming in and out of the lineup, he would simply be a familiar depth piece for Vancouver who can be put in the AHL.
4.
PIT
  1. 2024 2nd round pick (EDM)
  2. 2025 4th round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
ANY CONTENDER
EDM
  1. Eller, Lars
  2. Ruhwedel, Chad
Additional Details:
ANY CONTENDER

Ruhwedel is a good 6th-7th right shot stay at home dmen that any contender could use. He can probably fetch a 4th back.

Eller is having a pretty good season as the 3C in Pittsburgh. He would be a great 4C and penalty killer for any contender looking to improve their PK and bottom 6. My guess is eller and fetch at least a 3rd and C tier prospect or maybe even a 2nd depending how many teams want him and the desperation level of those teams.

It just does not make sense when people keep including draft picks or prospects going the other way for the Pens. Why would they trade away Poulin?

Sam Poulin is beyond out of favor, Dude can't buy a call up with the rotating door of bottom 6 players

There is zero reason to give up on him at this point organizationally though. They need to start stocking up not dumping.

That would be a highly disappointing return for Jake. Raty may be a 3C but unlikely he goes higher up the lineup. Podkolzin has back to the KHL written all over him.

    it's because of last year.
    They should give it time.
I think after the TDL he might get a chance.

This organization does have some serious problems in handling it's players though. Something needs to change there.
It's no wonder the coaches have lost the room.

exactly, this return is weak and just not acceptable, they will get better offers
Same is true with the Smith trade.

Not at all arguing over the return but what about Podz says "KHL written all over him?"

My guess is simply because hes been in the AHL or was? I still think he can become a solid top 6 option

He’s had over 100 NHL games and he can’t stick in your lineup. He is t exactly dominating the AHL.

I mean, that's what happened with Hoglander last year. He's definitely not a top 10 pick worthy anymore but I imagine he could still end up being a 3rd line guy at some point. He was doing really while for a while before a head injury I'm pretty sure.
