If it were the highest offer I’d imagine Buch would be with the Blues after this week.

You have to know this offer is not even close to acceptable. You cannot just pile up nickels and dimes to reach a dollar.

Either start with Willander, or don't bother starting. Just FYI.

Genuinely curious, are you expecting a player of Willanders capability in a Buch trade or is it just the fall of between him and Raty is too big? If the latter I totally get it but I cannot think of the last time a prospect of his calibre was traded in a deadline deal (I could just be forgetting though)

1 - It's specifically Willander's position, type and quality. But also Raty would be of little interest.

That said, I'm not expecting anything. I'm not trying to trade him. I'm just relaying the only approach that would likely get Army's attention.

2 - Not really sure what the TDL specifically has to do with it. Prospects of that caliber get traded all the time. It;s not a unicorn scenario.

1 - Very fair. I'm not really sure what the St Louis prospect pool is looking for so I was kinda guessing with my offer.

2 - My reasoning was that generally around this part of the season if players were to get moved, super valuable prospects don't really get included in the deals. Though I could see that being different for Buch as he has those 2 years of team control.

1 - The prospect pool looks like this:

G = great, loaded, including two top 20, if not top 15 G prospects (still counting Hofer in that).

F = great, loaded, two A+ prospects included, as well as another 2-3 A- prospects and a swarm of B-ish prospects on the rise, all on top of young Neighbours now busting out

D = Top 4 LD prospect Lindstein and then a big ol' stack of B/B-/C+ guys, almost all of them LDs, none of them sure bets to be anything more than depth. Maybe I'm underselling Buchinger slightly, but you get the idea.

You see the issue, I'll assume. squinty smile

2 - Yeah, I hear that a lot. I think some of the Athletic guys and TSN guys love to say it, but it's not as accurate a claim as they portray. It happens.
