Doubt it even with the draft thing. PITT doesn’t have one this year.

That's fair honestly. Othmann is a good prospect- not great.

Kaako, Othmann and a 1st checks boxes. Young roster player in Kaako and Othmann is a top prospect, and a 1st.

Othmann is not a top prospect. Perreault is a much more valuable prospect albeit might be longer for development. Othmann is definitely more promising than some of the suggestions line Brisson or Raty.

oh but NYR fans have assured me Othman is a top 12 prospect, TSN says so, and he's totally untouchable because he's the next Gretzky.

Honestly, you would think by now no matter who the prospect is. Othmann, Perreault whoever, it's just hopes and dreams.
Hell they got a 2OA they claim is a "defensive forward" and still SOOOOO valuable and stead of realizing no one spends a 2OA on a defensive winger future 4th liner. Yakupov 2.0.

Fact is Panarin and Kreider are 32, that window is closing fast. What they got 2 more years as the wheels come off. They ain't got the time for none of that nonsense, because most people realize that replacing Panarin and Kreider is a whole lot harder to do.

Perreault isn't some untouchable and neither is Othmann. The pressure is all on NYR to do something. The penguins figured that part out years ago and got the job done. Can the NYR?
