Oof is right. Joseph and Rathbone will be 25 this spring. Hardly prospects.

It's bad. But the prospect pool at least is about to get a lot stronger in the next few years. Now whether they develop or not is more important. A decade ago their prospect pool was poorly rated yet yielded a great outcome with Guentzel, Murray, Rust, Sheary, Dumoulin, etc. all contributing to their two SC wins.

I think they are nhl level prospects. But they won’t blow you away. Only guys really that could become that is Brayden Yager. The next best one is Owen Pickering but I think he’d be a good second pairing defencemen. The rest would all be middle 6 or bottom 6 level players

i included Rathbone not PO he is an RFA I think he needs some confidence he had a stretch either last year or the year before where he played a lot of minutes when everyone was hurt and looked real good.

Pens are really stuck in the middle nowhere. Some poor aging NTC contracts, poor prospects. Going to be interesting what UFA Crosby does in summer of 2025. Gotta think he would love to stay a Pen, but also he would love three more years on a true contender.

I would definitely add Ilyin, he is one of the Pens best prospects. Other than that Plante is pretty good
