Yes having routinely watched the sabres i clearly have no grasp on what it might take to succeed in a rush system. I don't have a poor conception of it. I simply don't agree with your evaluation nor do I believe the Sabres are likely to pursue Couture. You may believe he's a good fit, that's fine. Their history short and long term suggests this move is unlikely. Also Matthew Tkachuk is also one of the best players in the league. If the Sabres wanna go sign a Tkachuk level player more power to them. Couture ain't Tkachuk. Using Tkachuk as the argument for slow players working in rush systems is a bad way to make your point.
