And Jarvis is still outproducing Caufield this year... what's your point? So, you want point pace when it works in favor of Caufield like in the case of Necas, but want to ignore it when it goes against Caufield? Which is it, you can't have it both ways. Jarvis has a better PPG rate, but you want to go back a year. Okay, so why doesn't that work for Necas and his 70 point season last year? Stop talking now, Caufield is inferior to both players and it's clear you're going to try to spin anything you can to fit your narrative.
Hahahaha. You’re saying Jarvis has a better age ajusted production than Caufield because at 22 they would have a 0,41 point pace difference, and just ignore the 13,5 pts difference at 21. It seems like you are the one using stats only when it advantage your player.
When we are talking age ajusted, it usually means both players are the same age. Necas 70 pts season is at an age Caufield hasn’t reached yet. But when we take age ajusted numbers, Caufield has been outproducing Necas in EVERY seasons (and by quite a lot, exept the second season where it’s kinda close). Jarvis outproduced Caufield in 1 age ajusted season, and it’s by 0.005 ppg, so 0 point on a 82 games season.
I have nothing against comparing Necas and Caufield in the past 3 seasons too (so including Necas’ 70 pts season). Necas has a 0.71 ppg. Caufield has a 0.72 ppg. Not a huge difference. However, Caufield is 2 years younger and he is coming back from an injury and struggling offensively. He will most likely hit 70 next year, at the age Necas got his 70 pts season.
If you want to use non age ajusted numbers, Caufield smokes Jarvis even more, and still has a better ppg than Necas. It’s quite clear who is the superior player…
