Description

1. If Hughes is going to be playing more on the wing then we need a better top 2 center. Stephenson Has played in the top 6 in Vegas and has produced. They may not be able to resign him.

2. Bridge deal for Mercer after a down year. Would be nice if he can average in the 50-60's point range.

3. What will they do with our goalie situation. Do we resign Kaapo? Do we make a big trade? Or do either Daws or Schmidt fill the role?

4. Do they upgrade on D? They should be better with Hamilton back in the lineup, but thoughts on Bahl? He has looked like a liability out there and takes too many stupid penalties. Maybe he can develop more by next season with a full year at the NHL level under his belt.

5. Does anyone in the system make the main roster? Can Foote fill a 4th line role with his size and is it time to bring up Stillman? Either way bottom 6 and Depth players need to improve. Size wouldn't hurt neither.

What do you think his value could be and what do you think it will take for the Devils to get him?
And I don't think he moved to the wing because he's currently hurt. Might be a size thing that keeps getting him injured so playing on the wing may protect him a little more.

I think virtually all of his value comes from however much retention is on him. At this point, for 2 years of a 35 year old goalie making 6 mill who's struggled a ton lately, NJD shouldn't pay more than a 2nd.

Jack will be back at C when fully healthy. It also stems partially from NJD having a lack of LW. NJD should fill that in the offseason
