Tanev and Perry are both making double what they should while I think that Stammer deal would be perfect

I think Killer and Frank should swap spots in the line up otherwise I think it’s a pretty good looking top 9

We should just look to offload Strome if he is going to be our 4C, I’m sure we could find someone to take him for free if it came to that — wouldn’t mind him playing with Gauthier and Zegras on the 3rd line though

Helleson should play that RD3 spot with Cam imo — Luneau probably should get a full year in the A with big minutes after this last year with his infected knee

Why are we taking Yakemchuk? He make it to pick 24 or whatever Edmonton’s 1st ends up being?

I second the question, why Yamechuk over Leshunov or Parekh?

I tried to do overpays on the UFA signings because we have a lot of cap flexibility for the next two seasons and overpaying for some guys to ensure we get two year deals seemed worth it.

I also opted to keep strome but put him on the fourth for a couple reasons, 1) we could use the right handed center to take right side defensive zone draws and 2) he's good depth we can move up to a third line role if people get hurt. I think the added depth was worth keeping him, even if its an overpay for a fourth line center the flexibility seemed worth it when we have the cap space to keep him.

I picked Yakemchuk because he's considered a better defensive prospect and is a teeny bit bigger than Levshunov, but really could be either of those two. When I set it up I put Yakemchuk just because I could see him getting a 9 game tryout and then back to juniors for WJC, same as Luneau this past season. Levshunov is NCAA and would probably get signed immediately and then I don't know if they'd send him to San Diego or not. Helleson hasn't looked good enough in San Diego to warrant a callup imo. Lindstrom at least looks like a decent bottom pairing NHL defensemen and his underlying metrics are solid, he would be my pick for the 6th D if Luneau and whatever draft pick we get this offseason don't make the team out of camp
