That Parayko trade is a fast track to an early rebuild. Johnson isn't good, Fischer is meh and Carrier is signing for too cheap, even if he's having a down year, he's still like the best 4th liner in the league. That 2nd/3rd pair is gonna be a serious issue, I think there's better/cheaper trade options out there too, without trading Broberg or Kulak.

Front office seems pretty adamant about trying to compete sooner rather than later. Can’t see them moving Parayko with the main return being futures.

Not going to comment on value. Just wouldn’t make sense unless the player requested to be moved. We can’t replace him, and chances of someone signing in the offseason to try and stop gap the hole it would leave after a trade like this is essentially 0.
