To sell with that many picks already is just dumb, keep anyone young and worth something.
Only sell if the player happens to be over 30.
The team they had last year tweeked in the right places could make them serious contenders.
They did very well for a team so under cap and with so many worries about the move it could not be easy on team!
I would add more then thread starter siad look how much cap room is left ,go after some studs on forwards or get a true #1 goalie in a trade!
Also and most IMPORTANT why go to a new city that has never had NHL and say HI we are going to rebuild now but please come and be a fan!

I doubt many of them will raise a stink about it considering they'll be under competent ownership that pays their bills, in an arena that may not be ideal, but also isn't college level.

It's not like staying in the desert is an option for any of them.

No they just could demand trades or be salty about it and not play to expectations.(like my salt pun!)
You do NOT want unhappy players!

I don't think you understood the overall point, which is that this is an upgrade for the players...

You get pissy because you like your life in Arizona and don't want to move... That's not an option here.

Yes but they could have families settled in ARI and would MUCH rather get a trade to a close team!
You miss the point players can DO what ever they want and get pissy and demand trades!

Yeah man that extra 15 minutes on the plane from SLC to Phoenix as opposed to LA is a real family-ender...

I forgot about all those franchises that are within driving distance of Phoenix.

laugh I can almost guarantee you, That there will be quite a few players bailing out on Salt Lake City. I can see Keller, Crouse and Schmaltz all asking for a trade. A lot of the players in Arizona are already miffed because of the apparent move to Salt Lake City.

Sean Monahan more than likely re-ups with Winnipeg.

Brandon Montour signs that here in Florida, Not in Salt Lake City.

I don't see Alec Martinez signing in Salt Lake City either.

There's no way Alex Nedeljkovic will sign out west. His wife his a nurse in Detroit and he won't be that far away from his family.
