took more of the bridge approach which may reduce the AAV a bit. if he goes 6,7,8 years it'll be closer to the 7/8M i would imagine.

a bridge deal generally keeps the player as an RFA. this is just a deal taking him to UFA. I would think going as long term as possible is the best approach.
