I think you really have a good idea for what Gully could do with the lineup (if they bring in PA) I see Stajan getting more games than Freddy but not far off.
If Poirier has his life back on track as they say he does after development camp than he could potentially play a larger role than just 4th line minutes.
I also expect Bennett to sign for another 500,000. I think 2.75 is more comparable than 2.25.

I would have agreed to the 2.75 but I thought that Ferland would have gotten over 2 Mil and that Gillies/Rittich would get a mil each, not get a pay cut.
I like the idea of spreading the PP/PK around a little as if the ref gets whistle crazy then 3rd 4th line sits and 1st 2nd exhausts themselves. multiply that X 82 reg and exhibition and if those mins. can get spread around then good.

I know Parenteau has some decent underlying numbers, but there's something to consider when you see a player that has been with 8 different teams in his career now and the longest he was in the same city was his 2 full years in NYI. Why wouldn't NSH consider bringing him back at that price ($1.25M)? After they clean up their RFA signings, they'll have room for a 3rd line producer with ability to move up the lineup for injuries. I think CGY is better off filling that role internally this season instead.

CGY fans should have faith that Treliving will sign a smart deal for Bennett. He's signed guys at or below expectations pretty much every deal (apart from a couple -- cough -- free agent signings, and Bouma). He seems to do quite well leveraging lower cap hits with guys that are already with the club. $2.5M is a good over/under number to budget for now on a 2-3 year deal.

Stajan is a lock for 4C role. Quite effective there.
