    I do not think Yzerman goes any less than 6 years with Seider and I really dont see him giving Raymond anything less than 7 years.

    I agree. I just needed to do bridge deals so I could afford Stamkos, Kane and Roy.

    I think Seider might want to go short term to get more moeny later, could be the same for Raymond, but I think it's more likely Raymond is long term

    I think it also partially depends on the direction of the team. If they want to spend a bit more in free agency to try and take a step towards the playoffs, shorter term deals would be better. If they are alright possibly taking a small step back and just building for the future, long term deals should be priority. I guess we will see soon enough.
