NOTES
-Full roster edited, including AHL.
-Salary cap changed to next year's projected cap limit (87.7 million)
-Tried to make the moves as realistic as possible. Other teams have the upper hand in a Marner deal because they can see the friction between him and the leafs, they aren't going to get a haul for him.
-Not getting rid of Reaves. There is no way the leafs FO would move him.
-Marner trade logic is that the meat of the deal is Marner for Keller (a slight downgrade). Durzi goes for Timmins (basically a diet Durzi that hasn't gotten a real shot because of our defensive logjam), Minten (promising prospect), and whatever's left of the skill gap between Marner and Keller. This is all assuming Marner would even allow a trade to Utah lol.
-I wanted to re-sign Bertuzzi, but space needs to be made for Cowan/Robertson/Knies on the wings.
-Considered adding KHL free agent Maxim Tsyplakov (reported to be in talks with the leafs) but ultimately didn't. I don't think there's space for him right now.
-This isn't including next years trade deadline. I think this roster still needs a big splash to be made (preferably on forward), but this is a good baseline for opening night.
