Barrie is no where near worth a top prospect a young top 4 and a second Rd pick

Weeellll... that's pretty close. Top 4 younger d man, pick and a prospect kind of fits the bill for what the price should be. If you look around at what offensive d men cost, its high! Ceci is a solid minutes eater, but not a top pair kind of guy, and White is...a prospect, can't say much else about him yet. The most you could argue is to drop the pick, but I honestly don't think that gets it done. Especially taking Sakic into account...

On the flip side of this post, how is that enough for Duchene? Jenner and Murray are nice solid players, but don't come close to meeting the asking price. The 1st rounder is the only thing that fits the package.

Something tells me you aren't an Avs fan.
