Is it fair to assume that NJD is interested in someone like Greentree or MBN?

Also if someone like Iginla or Eiserman is available at 10 is it likely they still want to trade back for someone like one of the aforementioned prospects?

Hard to tell. I think there's alot of pretty solid wing prospects from 12-20ish. Good possibility though if NJD really likes one of them they just decide to select that one instead of taking the chance they're there in 6 picks.

From the Blues POV if one of the higher end defenseman that we had faith in (Ideally Dickinson) were still available I would do this in a heartbeat. I'd guess there'd be a bit more hesitancy in Yakemchuk or Silyayev, or even maybe Parehk but I'd still probably do it.

In this post they used the blues 1st in another trade. So they basically traded back to add assets, to use in trades to bolster the nhl roster. Which does make a lot of sense for a team in their position

Devils have lots of holes to fill, but for the most part, our core is set with Hughes, Hischier, Bratt, Meier, Mercer up front…Dougie, Hughes, Nemec, Siegenthaler on blueline.

We need a couple bottom-six types, maybe a 3C (depending on where we play Haula & Mercer), another veteran LD, and a goalie. I don’t think we need a 10th overall pick to plug all those holes.

I was trying to come up with a scenario whereby we trade down multiple times and either add pieces or add mid round picks.

As for draft…it is probably ‘best player available’ for us if we pick that high. But our needs in pipeline are defensive dmen who can handle puck…and two-way centers. So if Dickinson falls, I would guess we probably select him.

I think if obvious names are off the board…some of the heavier forwards would be targets. In this scenario, we traded all the way back to #27 and selected Dean Letourneau. But I could see MBN, Chernyshov or Greentree be possibilities too…and would make sense if we just jumped from 10 to 16 as some will be available at Blues pick.

Which is a very solid plan. I've been looking for trade up partners, and didn't think of the devils cause u have no need for more futures. But this type of plan actually makes a lot of sense

U say u need another vet LHD, could I interest you in adding Leddy @50%(2x2) to the deal?
