Kane would have been arguably the best player on the Capitals last year. You are crazy if you don’t want an elite passer on the power play again. Domi could take less but you also might have to overpay to get him to come here. Not really a hot destination since they aren’t a good team

I’d rather give that money to a guy like Debrusk or Duclair - someone younger who will be around for a bit, and will also come in far cheaper.

See I’m the opposite bc I would rather have a roster spot open for Cristall Suzdalev and Leonard

I think Cristall and Leonard will be on the roster in 25-26, Suzdalev is a maybe. I think it’s better to have more good players and have assets to move in the future. I think Kane would be objectively a good add, but they need younger pieces that can stay a while. Kane will also probably want more money than the caps should give him.
