Rangers accept (although i doubt Lindgren would command that return).

It probably is an overpayment. I'm not overly concerned about values, rather I am justing trying to show a possible path for the team.

For what it is worth I think Lindgren is the type of D we should be targeting.

Sabres are VERY unlikely to pay all that for a rental who we’d have to give a huge contract to
I don’t see us being interested

Fair enough. Is there any price or just not a good match?

It’s not so much the value that we’d have to give up to get him,
bc frankly we do have an abundance of prospects/picks we could part with

The issue is that we have to pay Byram, Quinn & Peterka after next season
So while it looks like we have a lot of Cap Space now, most of it is already accounted for moving forward

So it’s just tough to see us bringing in a guy we’d have to give a big $$$ deal to

Is bottom 6 veterans the focus for adding in Buffalo?

I feel like they need leadership to build structure and culture, but they also don't want to block development?

Sens and Sabres are both in precarious situations imo.

It could/should be

We could *potentially use a 3C depending on how we view Krebs
I know a lot of ppl have soured on him, but it’s more that he was buried in the depth chart than he hasn’t played well
I think the Sabres still like him

Also, with Okposo (our Captain) being traded & Girgensons (wears an “A”) being a UFA,
there is a strong possibility we look to reshape our “checking” line with some different Vets who can play a shutdown type role

A reliable backup goalie might make sense to support UPL if he takes a step back and to continue to let Levi develop in the AHL for another year
Levi has looked so good, that we might just go with a young combo of UPL & him though- and see what happens

Only other spot i could see us addressing is top4 RD if we don’t bring back Jokiharju (who again, i think our Mgmt likes)

We also have to pay Byram, Quinn & Peterka after next season- so any adds we do make will likely only be for 1 year, so that we have the Cap free to sign our good young talent

Sounds like Buffalo should stay put then with some smaller short term signings then. Thanks for the info.
