Description

I know Army preaches internal growth and whatnot, but a 2C, secondary scoring, and a partner for Parayko/depth on D need to be addressed now. Dvorsky is a future top 6 center for this team. Until he’s ready, Monahan or Stephenson would fill in. The various wingers signed add either scoring or grit which STL heavily lacks. Bringing in Debrusk, Perron, or Sprong would inject offense to the forward group other than Buch-Thomas-Kyrou/Jake. The 24th ranked PP would benefit from snipers like DP57 or Sprong. Adding Trenin, Lomberg, Lafferty, Duhaime, Joshua, etc…help out in the physicality department. The bottom 6 needs to be more effective. Replacing Kapanen, Blais, and hopefully Hayes with these guys helps. Our 18th ranked PK would rise as well.

As for the D, Leddy was honestly good this year. I feel like he’d thrive slightly better on the 2nd pair. Skjei is the only dman signed who could be Parayko’s partner. The other dmen signed (minus Carrier) add physicality to the backend. The Blues don’t have a mean defense. We need more guys like Pronger, Jackman, Polak, Eddie, Bortuzzo.

Obviously trades and a buyout or 2 would have to happen and with all the NMC candy Army hands out it’ll be hard to sign some of these players but it benefits the team bringing in a little more offense and team toughness.

Think you're underestimating the years or AAV on a lot of these. Intrigued by Zadorov and Skjei but I think both have played their way into longer term deals or higher AAV.
Also wouldn't mind Edmundson reunion.

Stephenson is going to want more term and higher AAV. With the cap going up, there are going to be some loony contracts signed this July.
5 years for Monahan? Too many years.
