I'd consider your 2024 1st and Samuelsson for Andersson. That package isn't getting Andersson and Kadri though.

I’d consider you out of your mind if you did not recognize that taking Kadri’s long-term contract is doing you a huge favor. Sheesh. He’s producing now, but he’s signed forever and only getting older and not less expensive.

He played up to what his contract was in 2023, he out performed his contract this year, he probably still has at least 2 probably 3 years where he's still worth his contract. The caps only going up now so I'm not too worried about his contract.

Can't imagine Ostlund is ready yet, let alone to be a 3C

He’s already overpaid by about $2 million a year. Realistically, if he can manage 50 points a year for the rest of that contract, you’d be lucky. Already 33 years old, and signed for another five years. I wouldn’t be surprised if Calgary has to buy out the contract before it’s over, or the very least, retain a good chunk of it to move him.

He was valued as a 9 million dollar player this year. And he's so terrible, but you want him to play on your 2nd line. We have 20 million in cap space and a full roster, we don't have anyone coming up for big raises in the next few years, his contracts not going to hurt us. Worst case scenario we buy him out in 2027 or 2028 and he only costs 2.3 million

Why you take Cozens out of Center? He could be your 3rd C and have Kulich up there on wing.
Your lines are a little funky

No chance, like Andersson but don’t have any interest in trading that much to get him with Kadri’s contract too

You’re confused, I don’t want him at all. You can keep that albatross contract.
