LOC playing in the top 6 full time would be problematic. That 4th line has very little offense, not great defense and I don’t know why you would pay Lomberg that much.

these are the kinds of ACGMs that make me hope/think Trenin isn't back. $2mil for that position all season doesn't seem like smart cap management to me

If the Avs don't have any feeling that Landeskog is back to start the season by Free Agency, they should spend at least half of his cap, ideally all of it up to Nuke's salary. It's a good bet to believe only one player between Landy and Nuke will come back

If Nichushkin ever plays for the Avs again I’ll buy you a beer there is no way a responsible management team can bring him back into the locker room after his latest episode. SJS terminated Evander Kane for less, WSH terminated that kid with the social media posts, AZ terminated Rudzicka, and what Val has done in the last year almost makes those guys look like choir boys.

This is why I said that it's a good bet that only one player between Landy & Nuke will come back. I think you just spend Nuke's $6.1 like he's not there.

All of those situations left the team with cap space because they terminated the player's contract. Or the team sucked so bad that it didn't matter for that season. It does matter for the avs. They'll wait to buy him out if they can't terminate his contract completely.
