Okay so you think a second round prospect and a potienial late first rounder would be enough then? Have to put in another pick at least...

Im thinking the value might be closer to a 1st in total, or maybe a 2nd and a 3rd. Huge cap hit on the 2, production level isn't as high, and they're just a rental. EDM would be purchasing the 37 year old Sedin's (nearly valueless in many peoples eyes) , not the 27 year old ones.

That'd be much more fair, considering the fact that Sedins won't be resigning with EDM even if they wanted to, since they cant afford doing it due to McDavid's massive contract. If something, I'd put 2018 1st rd pick, 2019 4th rd pick and a prospect, such as Benson you offered. That is a rental deal.

I also don't see how they fit in Edmonton either, McDavid and Draisatl will be 1 and 2 centres, at the best they are 3rd line rentals, and that includes pushing Nugent-Hopkins to the 4th line. They won't give up a 1st, or even Benson who is promising for a pair of Bottom 6 rentals.

nobody will want the sedins until the trade deadline (maybe not even then) and they have NMCs so I do not see them being moved. maybe a team with tons of cap space next season will sign them next off season
