Reasonable trade, but I suspect you will need to add a 1st rounder to complete the deal. You'll have to overpay for Ovechkin. Just the way it is.

Ovechkin is worth a ton more than that. Relying on Duchene to bounce back isn't a good option, especially when you consider that he's a natural center and we have one of the best center groups in the league

Don't see how this makes much sense for the Caps. Soderberg and Duchene won't replace Ovie's production, and Grimaldi is a downgrade from Beagle.
