    Please explain how a team that is 4M over the cap with only 1 player to LTIR (3.8M) can match an almost 3M offer sheet this late in the offseason.

    Pretty sure we can trade Sheahan rather easily, Bottom line Detroit matches a $2.6 million offer sheet. And besides you can't count Rasmussen as he will be playing for the Tri-City Americans the only reason why he's on the roster is to maximize Franzen's full LTIR.

    You also said Detroit would take easily take Liljegren with the 9th pick so I don't think you have a good grasp of how Holland and Co. work smileshakes head
