Description
Hornqvist, Ward, and Hansen will all likely be let go next year. Which creates space for Vlasic/Jones extensions to kick in. Plus, Thornton won't get 8 million next year. So there is even more plus the money Vlasic and Jones are being paid currently.

I like this, but think DET needs a bit more than the 4th (and PIT's 3rd which is essentially a 4th).

if I was Thornton and only scored 7 goals I think I would have taken a 2 mil contract and asked the team to take the extra cash and be a player in fa. I don't feel bad for a guy who cant win a cup scores 7 goals and then asks for 8 million.

I understand what you're saying but he puts up assists and he's a good defensive player. While he isn't worth 8 million, 2 million is a bit of an exaggeration.

I know he's worth more than 2 but Crosby is worth more than 8.7 I am not calling him a bum, im simply stating at that age I would want better players around me

That's very true. He should take a pay cut in order to help them win a cup.
