That's so unrealistic.

Barrie is a terrible defenseman. His defence sucks, but his offence is quite decent. Thing is he's too old.


Canucks value Baertschi guddy and Hutton. Those three guys hold more value than Barrie in the long run, maybe even now

It may be unrealistic, but Barrie is an excellent offensive Dman. His defensive game has suffered the last couple of years from where it was, but so has the entire Colorado team. I tend to think that if he had a halfway reliable D partner that part of his game would bounce back a bit too. But you may be right about the age. At 26 he may be just a bit too old for the Canucks rebuild, unless something crazy happens next year like we get Dahlin and the Dahlen/Pettersson combo take off.
