I'm almost always annoyed by trades for Shaw. He's a bottom 6 forward that can at times fake it for stretches during games. It's a great sounding nickname, but even at 3.9M he's overpaid and bottom six forward is not something they should overpay for.
Seabrook's contract really makes him not tradeable. To show how untradeable it is, here's a sample conversation:
Stan: "Hi Jim, how are you?"
Jim Nill: "Good, how are you?"
Stan: "Great. Say, I've got this player with a big contract I'd like to trade away."
Jim: "You don't say? I'm hoping it's Seabrook. I love the nickname and I'm hoping to get fired within the next 1 1/2 seasons. Trading for a 32 year old D man with 7 years of term left at 6.8M cap hit ought to do the trick"
