Description
The thing we learned yesterday is that we need mobility on defense... you can't put Jordi Benn and Mark Streit on the same pair.... they will be cones on the ice. get Jerabek out of the AHL, bring him back until Schlemko is back on his feet, then trade Benn for a forward.

On the powerplay, make Chucky and patch switch place.... Pac takes some shitty ass wrist shot while chucky has a powerful one-timer... put him on the right side.

Coach julien should play with his lines... I know Patch wants to play with Drouin... But I would give Chucky a chance to play with him. OR even Byron... that sucker is so fast, drouin could feed him a lot of breakaways,

If we keep the Pac-Drouin duo... I want a playmaker who can skate with the puck on the same line as Chucky... So put Hudon with him and Danault... But Danault and Hudon can go get the puck and feed Chucky a beautiful one-timer...

Mete was actually with streit last game benn was with weber.. really that's the problem.. we all know streit is garbage why would you put him with a young prospect new to the NHL. Benn is playing terrible right now and shouldn't ever play above the 3rd pair unless it is penalty kill.

Hemsky has 4 penalties in 2 games and hasn't done anything else, he is trash and needs to go.

So get rid of hemsky and streit and this team is already improved.

I'm not sure why they kept Streit over Jerabek.

I don't think it started this way... they changed the pairing because they were too slow

They keep Steit because is on a 35+ contrat. You could send him in the minor, buyout, buried, is 700k will count on salary cap anyway. The only way is trade him. And Jerabek have a two-way contrat, he don't have to clear waivers.

For Hemsky, it's only 2 games, I give him 10 games to show what he can do for Habs. But he definitively need to get out from the penalty box.

Which pairing was too slow? The 2nd goal last night (in the first minute of the game) when Benn gave the puck away he was with Weber. I assume they started that way I think mete was removed from Weber during the buffalo game.

Yes I do get why they kept Streit.. I was fine with it assuming he would be sitting (7th or 8th dman) but he isn't.

As for hemsky, having watched every preseason game as well as the 2 games so far I've seen enough. Far too weak and slow to play the game, which is why he takes lazy unnecessary penalties. The only value he has is his playmaking on the powerplay but I think he is barely an upgrade over the other options who aren't liabilities the rest of the game. Would rather see gallagher on the powerplay over hemsky.
