Flames will not give up one of their top D prospects in Andersson for a goalie. They have Smith locked in for another year, and 3 goalie prospects who will fight for the backup slot. One of the 3 will take over in the near future.

I could totally see the Habs making that trade but Nielsen has a NMC so he would have to "want" to come to MTL. I don't think he does right now.

Montreal is playing as badly as Detroit is right now, No way is Nielsen waiving for the Habs. Not a happening.
