A team like Detroit can't be in the business of trading a 21 year old who leads the team in points for another player. Unless Larkin were to be dealt for a legit star of the league Detroit will never deal him. I know they need defense, but dealing Larkin is not the answer. I am all for dealing Green, Nyquist, and Mrazek. Mrazek probably wouldn't get you a 3rd unless it were conditional on him resigning (which he wouldn't, and they wouldn't resign him). I think Green would get a 1st and a 3rd, I don't think Detroit really needs to throw in a pick in the deal. And I would love to get a 2nd for Nyquist, but I think it could potentially be more of a conditional second, or Detroit has to retain salary. I also love Bertuzzi, but he's not a top 6 winger. Abby or Helm would fill that spot.

laugh Larkins value is far more then Shea Theodores get real here, You don't trade a young 21 year old player like Larkin especially if you're heading towards a rebuild here.

I didn’t expect you to like the trade haha. There’s something about the way Larkin plays that I don’t like, he doesn’t seem like he’s headed in a direction to be a star in the league, contrary to how it looked when he first came up and was playing with Z. I might be the only one who thinks this. and obviously if his value is of future top line center then you would not do this trade. I just don’t think that’s his value

Just to clarify the Mike Green trade. I am valuing Green at a 1st round pick. Detroit sends a 2018 2nd because otherwise Chicago does not have a pick in the first two rounds of this draft. Detroit gets a 2nd back in the next draft
