    New Jersey seems to be one of few teams with cap space next summer. I guess the two questions are ...would Stamkos sign with NJ, or does NJ spend it's money elsewhere.

    palhal, I concur. Those are a two big questions, neither of which I have an answer to. Like you said, they have the cap space to sign him for a long time as the highest paid player in the league, and a lot of other teams cant. NJ has a lot of its core players under control, and in this scenario they get Palmierri under control long term as well. But they really lack is top end talent.
