It's been a tough year for Boqvist. He suffered a broken foot early in the season, and recently took a puck to the face while sitting on the bench - landing him back on the IR.
When healthy he's best described as a 2-way / Transitional 'D' who leans distributor more than shooter.
Sees the ice. Outlets accurately. Skates well. Can join the rush off the attack / as an extra layer. Average / average plus defender. Lacks physical element. At times has difficulty handling weight / defending in his zone.
Secondary offense. Third pairing at ES - PP QB.
