Element has always been offense
Unusual skater in that he likes to get on his inside/outside edges (10&2) in open ice - in an attempt to create deception
Light - not physical - can be a threat on the PP - will never PK at the NHL level
Still trying to find consistency at the minor league level
Has to play in the top half of the lineup to find a role
Not a checker

His element is easy to identify. A creative mind offensively. Really good stick and release.
His unusual approach with his skating (10/2 ... 10/2 ... 10/2) works for and against him. At times it provides deception and he's difficult to defend. Other times defenders zero in on him and knock him off the play with ease. He's a light prospect who needs to be utilized in a role that will allow him to impact the game offensively. Not the kind of player who is programmed to (PK) or play on the 4th line.
