Hunter earned his contract with Calgary, after his rights were traded from Vancouver to Calgary in the Elias Lindholm trade.

He's a (+40) defensively.
Continues to be deployed in all situations at the junior level with the Kitchener Rangers.
Quarterbacks the PP. Sees time in overtime skating at 3vs3.
Leans distributor more than shooter. Proficient working the 'low to high' cycle in the offensive zone and making plays.
Defending is average plus. Has to continue to work on his quickness fronting opponents and keeping them to the perimeter off the rush and along the wall.
Projects as a potential bottom pairing 'D' at even strength ... but a player who could find a role on one of the PP units for the Flames in time.

Brzustewicz is one of the feel good stories in the OHL this season. He's on pace to, potentially, reach the 100 point mark as a defenceman.

Better than average secondary scorer who could slot as a second unit PP contributor at the pro level. 2-way 'D' who will benefit form keeping his game more simple at times. Good skater who has room to add another level of quickness and speed.
