First year NHL defender who has junior eligibility remaining.
Made the Hawks out of training camp. Earned his spot on the roster.
Good size. Long reach. Somewhat unusual stride but it doesn't hold him back from getting from A to B at the NHL level.
Mostly area defender. Rotates well into shooting lanes. Early in the season he is averaging 19:33 TOI and being deployed at ES and PP.
His elite element is his offensive upside. Sees the ice. Can QB the PP. Leans distributor more than shooter but he's capable of directing plays on goal from distance.
On the rise. Just beginning his career.

Used in all situations. Reliable. Trustworthy. High end hockey IQ.
Leans distributor more than shooter on the PP - but has a better than average shot from distance that he could actually utilize more often. Can be deceptive on offensive blue line.
Skating isn't pretty to watch at times - but he arrives on time in all three zone. An areas of con concern is his first three strides - out of the blocks - skating backwards - he has room to improve his balance and quickness in the category. NHL middle pairing 'D' at worst - All situations.

Good size defender who leans 2-way / Transitional / PP QB at the NHL level
Distributes very well and has some deception on the offensive blue line. Underrated shot. He could direct more pucks on goal. More of a bumper than a punishing hitter. Uses his long reach / range to close on opponents. Solid skater. A bit of an unusual stride. Projects to be a top 4 NHL 'D' at even strength ... but ... one that can be used on the first PP unit as well.

A big body left shooting defenceman who makes plays with the puck at even strength and the PP. He distributes very well and has some deception on the offensive blue line. When he sees an opportunity to get pucks to the net he shoots it hard and accurately from range. There is some bump to his game defensively but he cannot be described as physically punishing. He uses his long reach to take away space. Korchinski is a solid skater. His stride isn't perfect but it doesn't hold him back. Projects to be a top 4 NHL 'D' 7

A solid 2-way 'D' who leans 'Transitional D' at times.
Smarts and ability to be used in all situations.
His skating stride is a bit unusual but it doesn't hold him back. He gets places plenty quick enough and he' agile on his edges.
Sneaky with the puck. He makes plays. Distributes. Sees the ice. Shows good puck touch.
Competes defensively. Involved. Long reach is an asset.
