Michael will benefit from the experience of a deep playoff run with Mora in the Allsvenskan.
Plays with pace. A threat off the rush. Opponents have to respect his speed through the neutral zone. Has some net drive, but also comfortable pulling up and making plays from the half wall - especially from his weak side.
Deployed at ES and PP with Mora - averages around 16:00 per game TOI overall.
Noticeably more compete along the wall / extending plays.
Generally a motion player defensively - uses his quickness and stick to defend on time.
Not elite offensively. Better than secondary upside however, and a player who has quick strike ability offensively.

Since returning to Mora - following the World Juniors - he has been on a heater - scoring 4G-3A in 7GP - Averages between 16:00 - 19:00 TOI - Even strength and Power-Play
Playing fast. A threat off the rush. Goes to the crease looking for tips and rebounds. Adequate battle along the wall extending plays. Outstanding release. Shoots the puck quickly and accurately. Offensive element is on the rise overall. Speed game is attractive as well. Top two line NHL forward on projection.

Brandsegg-Nygard has a chance to become the first Norwegian born first-round NHL pick. He's a 6'1 burner with an excellent shot. His catch and release, is very quick. He shoots the puck in stride off the rush, and has shown he can beat goalies from the top of the circles with an accurate snap shot.
He's more than just offense though. Brandsegg-Nygard is committed defensively and recognizes his responsibilities before going on offense. He could be a riser as the season roles along. Projects as a potential top six NHL forward who plays fast and has the hockey sense to be used in a variety of roles.
