His offense has taken another step this season overall. Off the rush he is a creative thinker via zone entries / has the vision to distribute and find open space to make plays with and without the puck on his stick. On the power-play, especially from the deep slot and around the net, he has the ability to catch and release pucks before opponents front him. His overall, three zone, effort and detail has room for improvement. More effort tracking back (faster) required. Not the kind of forward who grinds out a lot of shifts. Also not likely to penalty kill or match up defensively. Element leans offense Very good stick and instincts in the offensive zone.

A skilled forward who competes with and without the puck. He plays a reliable three zone game. Good stick. Capable of scoring goals and distributing. Below the hash marks and the goal line in the offensive zone he competes to win battles. When he doesn't have the puck he works to get it back. Missed time with a significant injury in 2021-2022. His fitness suffered during his recovery but he has time to improve his strength and endurance. His skating will get more explosive with added strength. His stride is sound.
